• Education: B. Sc. In Electrical or Mechanical Engineering with Procurement/Management experience

ROLE / RESPONSABAILIES:

-          To identify and prequalify potential supplier to be included in the bidders list

-          To prepare requests for quotation, receive bids, correspond with vendors to clarify their proposals, prepare commercial bid evaluation and recommendation for award, and – upon receipt of approval to proceed – award the order, register and monitor all communications with the vendor, and advice management on contractual issues and risks involved.

-          To ensure that strict official practices and confidentiality are maintained at all times.

KNOWLEDGE/QUALIFICATIONS/SKILLS:

-          Industrial or engineering background with mechanical or electrical engineering specialty is preferable with experience in project purchasing

-          Excellent written and verbal communication skills - negotiation skills required

-          Computer literacy. Meticulous with high professional and personal ethics

-          Perfect English reading, writing, and speaking.  Arabic is a plus.

EXPERIENCE:

-          8+ years experience in Industrial Purchasing or EPC/general contracting (Project Procurement – Purchasing) with exposure to international expediting and logistics practices.

-          5 years in similar position of directly related experience

-          Previous gulf Experience and knowledge of UAE suppliers and equipment market prices is a advantage.

-          B. Sc. In Electrical or Mechanical Engineering

Reporting to the Procurement Manager.
